Marshmellow Wars!

Hello, everyone!

SO this week has been great!  Today we are having our zone activity... MARSHMALLOW WARS!  It is going to be SO much fun!  We also sprayed our house for scorpions this morning. Since moving in, Sister Bingham has seen one scorpion which I didn't get to see because she threw the notebook it was on across the room. Lol.  And the other one she felt touch her 3 times in her bed on her arm.  She screamed and jumped out of bed and we spent like a half hour searching for it in the middle of the night. And never found it.  So, we really don't know if it was a scorpion, but it sure scared the crap out of Sister Bingham! We pulled out the black light and everything to search for it.

Let's see... last night we had a 2 hour lesson with one of our investigators.  He's a sweet man, but his heart still needs some softening.  However, we finally got him to commit to praying and reading.  He's already been to church 3 times- something he hasn't done since he was 12. And he's 75 now. Tomorrow we're watching the Easter Pageant with him.  We're really excited about it.  And he's teaching us how to play golf. We figure it's a way to have daily contact with him. He says I'll be a pro.

We also had a lesson with the father of the family of 5.  The mom is Catholic and supposedly not very interested. We haven't met her yet.  He also has 3 kids.  He says that he will decide later if he is going to let them take the lessons.  The lesson itself was really good though.  It was very quick, but he understands the restoration now and he committed himself to read the BOM in 4 days.  We have a lesson with him tonight to find out how that went.  He also committed to pray and he was supposed to be at church yesterday but called his LDS friend and told him he forgot he had prior commitments. He will be there next week though with his family in tow.  He accepted a baptism commitment as well. Tonight we'll probably commit him to a date.  We'll see how that goes.

Ok so to the individuals:

Mom- How's WW? and the new calling?

Dad- It sounds like things are keeping you busy, if only the weather! How green is your thumb now?

Danny- How's the family? Love you!

Cory- YOU WROTE TO ME!!! And TWO letters!!! :-D I feel so loved and special!  I like your new goal. Keep it up! And I loved your drawing of Henry crawling. hehehe. And I like the nose game he plays. I'm going to try to handwrite you back today... hopefully... Oh, and let me know what your new address is if you get that new housing managing job thing so that I don't write any letters to the wrong address... :-P Thanks for the love in the form of letters!

Eric- So? How was your trip home?

Lynz- CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR DL!  I'm so excited for you!  Hooray! So...? any letters headed my way? You PROMISED!

Lindsey Ker- I got your package! Thanks! It was cute. I love you! I am super bummed that your dad and rest of the bishopric got released, but I guess I saw it coming...  :-( I suppose I'll just have to come and play at your house... Lol.

Deon- I wrote down Tyler Maxson's name in my planner, and if I can I will try to meet him. But it's a big world and we're pretty glued to the people we take to the Pageant, so no promises. But I will try!

Tammy- So.  I think I know Elder Bennion, but I'm not sure. It's more like I know of him.  And I think I was in the same zone with him at one point (and may still be...) but we don't see our zone very much at all so he may know of me, I know of him, but not much more than that. Next time I see him though I will ask if he knows "the amazingly awesome Tammy Johnson who is one of my mom's best friends". How's that? :-D

Ok. I love you all. Thanks for your prayers. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO x 10. For everyone.

Love, me
