An Investigator Placed in Our Laps!

Hey, Family!

So, this week has been great.  WE got a new investigator placed in our laps.  Her name is M and she has a little boy that is absolutely adorable.  He is 5 and a chess pro.  He is in a chess club and has beaten kids twice his age!  M is a single mom.  She was given to us by some elders and she already had a baptism date for Feb 5th.  She was introduced to the church by some friends, but due to the distance between them now, she started checking out mormon.org .  From there, she took several lessons online from some missionaries, and then she showed up in the elders' ward 3 weeks ago, ready to learn.  They taught her one lesson before realizing she was in our area, so at a baptism the elders introduced her to us and now we have our first lesson with her tonight!  We're super excited.

Well, ok.  That was really the only big news.  Everything else is just a day by day whim (based on plans, of course).  We are actively searching for new people to teach and in the meantime, we are teaching a couple of investigators, a few recent converts, and MANY less actives.  Sadly, I have a pretty rough time keeping my eyes open during our visits to the elderly folks' homes.

Mom- Thanks for the birthday list!  I just wrote it down in my journal!

Dad - You're not vacationing in Disney World without me, are you??

Lynz - Did you get my request that you record yourself playing the piano on mom's camera? And have you sent me a letter and I just haven't received it yet?

Ok, all.  I love you.  I'll be anxiously waiting for next Tuesday...!

Love you all!
-Sister Stephens
